About Us

See the look on that kid’s face as he gazes up at Cal Ripken Jr? We live for that.

Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is all about celebrating the extraordinary role of Louisville Slugger in baseball’s past, present and future. We’re here to delight our guests and create joyful, lifetime memories.

Baseball connects generations, we see it here every day. Since the sport is such a big part of American history and culture, even visitors who don’t consider themselves big fans find something here that resonates with them. Maybe it’s the fun stories and fascinating machinery in the factory, or the hands on exhibits, or one of our special exhibitions that broaden the interpretation of baseball.

And, really, who doesn’t love a free mini-bat?

The history of our company sets us apart. We started making baseball bats in 1884, and we’ve been doing factory tours for so long weren’t not even sure when they started!

But LSMF celebrates the here and now too. Today’s sluggers know they’re teaming up not only with our heritage but also our cutting-edge, current day research and technology. We haven’t been making bats this long without some serious innovations that keep us at the top of our game.

And for those players at the top of their game, our player awards are well-earned reminders of greatness.

Triumph & Tragedy: The Greatness of Jim Thorpe

Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of Jim Thorpe signing a contract with Hillerich & Bradsby Co., this exhibit explores the hardships of Thorpe's life, including how baseball was used to unfairly strip him of two gold medals he earned in the 1912 Stockholm Olympics.
