Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory hits the road with an interactive experience created exclusively for Chicago baseball fans attending the annual 2019 Cubs Convention at the Sheraton Grand Chicago on Saturday, January 19th.
The interactive “Mobile Museum” features game-used bats and is highlighted by Javy Baez’s Silver Slugger Award, which will be available for fan photos. The exhibit also includes game-used bats from Chicago Cubs legends, a massive Cubs LEGO helmet, free museum passes and fun photo opportunities with the museum’s giant five-foot bat and oversized glove.
There will also be signature rubbing boards allowing fans to make their own souvenir rubbing from the branded signatures of the Cubs greatest players. It’s a mobile museum version of Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory’s esteemed Signature Wall.
“We’re excited to return to Cubs Convention and meet Chicago baseball fans who share the same passion for America’s pastime as we do at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory,” said Anne Jewell, Vice President and Executive Director of Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. “Our Mobile Museum is an interactive fan exhibit that has been custom-built for this year’s event. With historic items from Cubs teams both current and past, our exhibit will be a treat for all generations of the franchise,” she said.
Fans attending 2019 Cubs Convention will have the opportunity to win great one-of-a-kind items like a personalized Louisville Slugger baseball bat or a commemorative Andre Dawson Living Legend bat, signed by “The Hawk” himself.
Fans Can “Hold a Piece of History”
The interactive exhibit allows fans to “Hold a Piece of History,” with the rare opportunity to actually hold game-used bats from current and past Cubs players including Andre Dawson, Kris Bryant, Ron Santo, Billy Williams, Dave Kingman and Joe Tinker.
