Down at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory we’ll be dancing a jig once again for our third annual St. BATrick’s Day Weekend! On Saturday, March 16th and Sunday, March 17th guests wearing green receive 2-for-1 admission.
The first 250 guests each day receive a special edition St. BATrick’s Day souvenir mini-bat when they purchase their ticket to the factory tour. This year’s mini-bat is going green and features “Happy St. BATrick’s Day” messaging in a gold finish with a lucky shamrock in the middle of the barrel.
“Local leprechauns will be green with envy when they see our delightfully designed mini-bats,” said Anne Jewell, Vice President and Executive Director of Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. “St. BATrick’s Day Weekend at the museum is the perfect way to celebrate all things Irish and learn about some of the game’s greatest Irish-American players.”
The St. BATrick’s Day mini-bats will also be available for purchase at the museum store for $7.99 and on www.sluggergifts.com.
Guests visiting during St. BATrick’s Day weekend can also “Hold a Piece of History” and pose with replica bat models and game-used bats used by Irish-American players such as Brian McCann, Paul O’Neil, Daniel Murphy and more. The original bat contract for Chicago White Sox player and 1917 World Series Champion, Eddie Collins will also be on display. Guests can check out the Signature Wall Spotlight program that spins little-known stories about Irish players on the museum’s revered Signature Wall and there’ll be plenty of fun, Irish-themed photo opportunities. Grab your shillelagh, pick a clover and head down to the museum for St. BATrick’s Day Weekend!
