Hours and Bat Production During Tours:

Guided factory tours are held every 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the season. The last factory tour of the day departs a half hour before closing. Factory tours last approximately 30 minutes. Guests now have the opportunity to see bats being made seven days a week. Bat making demonstrations will take place in the factory when full production is not scheduled. Visitors normally allow 2 hours for the entire museum and factory experience. Everyone receives a miniature souvenir bat at the end of the tour!

Museum & Factory Tours

We recommend you arrive at least 90 minutes before we close to enjoy the full experience. The last factory tour of the day begins 30 minutes before we close.


Put Your Own Name on a Bat 

Personalized Bats can be ordered when you arrive and picked up before you leave in our Museum Store.


Accessibility 

The museum and factory are handicap accessible, with open-captioning and listening devices available in our theater.  The regular tour does include some steps, but a handicap accessible door allows this area to be bypassed.  There is some dust and noise in the factory.

We are located on the corner of 8th and Main in downtown Louisville.  Just look for the World’s Biggest Bat!  A parking garage operated by the city is directly behind our building and some street parking is available.

Heading West on I-64: Exit on 3rd Street.  Right on River Road at the bottom of the ramp.  Left on 6th Street. Right on Main Street. Left on 8th Street. Parking garage on the right.

Heading East on I-64: Exit on Roy Wilkins Blvd.  Left on Market Street.  Left on 8th Street.  Parking garage is on the left.

From I-71 and I-65: Merge onto I-64 West and follow directions above heading West on I-64.


Heartland Baseball Trail
